Egyptian Architecture

Everything in Ancient Egyptian culture revolved entirely on appeasing the gods. This was reflected in their architecture. Since the pharoahs were considered gods, their homes, monuments and memorials needed to recall their status.  In addition to the size and scale of many of these massive monuments, the Egyptians adorned them with hieroglyphs to chronicle their lives, religious festivals and beliefs.
